Ridgefield – Swamp Crash Update
Authorities just released an update regarding last month’s single-car accident in Ridgefield.
On November 29, a car swerved off Route 7 and crashed. Officials have now released more details regarding the incident. A 20-year-old Newtown resident was traveling south on Ethan Allen Highway when her vehicle unexpectedly swerved to the right, stopping in a roadside swamp. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment. Her identity remains undisclosed, but officials mentioned she was later cited for failing to drive in the proper lane. This post will be updated when new info becomes available.
