Putnam – Intersection Crash With Critical Injuries

Two vehicles collided at an intersection in Putnam last Tuesday.

At around 4:53 p.m., authorities were alerted to an accident at the intersection of Route 171 and West Thompson/Harrissville Roads. Emergency teams were dispatched to the area and discovered a crash between a 1998 Toyota Camry driven by Teodor Teja and a 2011 Subaru Forester driven by 22-year-old Andre Bouchard. Both vehicles incurred heavy damage and were found in the middle of the intersection. Bouchard was transported to Day Kimball for minor injuries, while Teja was also transported to Day Kimball but was eventually transferred to UMASS Memorial Hospital due to critical injuries sustained in the crash. No cases have been filed yet, and officials are still investigating the cause of the collision. Authorities are requesting possible witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.

Many intersection accidents result in serious injuries and have to be investigated promptly so that negligent parties can be immediately taken off the road. That said, victims of DUI, reckless behavior, or negligence should also have options at their disposal. It’s in these scenarios where consulting legal experts can be beneficial.
