Plainfield – Single-Vehicle Accident With Injuries
A man from Brooklyn was injured in an accident in Plainfield last Monday evening.
The crash occurred on South Chestnut Street a few minutes after 8:00 p.m. 19-year-old Brandon Cacciapuoti was driving his 2009 Mitsubishi Galant when he hit an equipment trailer parked along that road. He was injured in the collision and was immediately brought to Backus Emergency Care Center by emergency crews. According to officials, no other vehicle was involved in the accident. Additional information has yet to be released pending a thorough investigation of the incident.
Authorities will always consider multiple angles/causes when investigating road incidents, particularly in single-vehicle accidents. There have been instances of product/vehicle defects causing crashes in the past, so this possibility is also studied. It pays to be aware of this type of accident so that we know what our options are if ever we are involved in similar situations.
