Plainfield – Industrial Accident
An industrial worker was killed in an accident in Plainfield early Sunday morning.
A few minutes past 4:00 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the Plainfield Renewable Energy Plant following reports of an accident inside the facility. 39-year-old Justin Scott of Louisiana was on-duty when an expansion joint being serviced fell on him. He sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. State and local officials have yet to provide other details and are currently investigating the incident. Updates to this post will be provided when more info becomes available.
