Plainfield – Hit-And-Run Suspect Arrested
A motorist was arrested after attempting to flee from an accident scene in Plainfield last Wednesday.
32-year-old Marc Kaczor was involved in an accident in front of Plainfield Medical Walk-In Clinic. A motorist reported that her vehicle was hit by a car driven by Kaczor inside a parking lot. She sustained back injuries in the crash. Instead of staying, Kaczor fled the scene. Police officers in the area received reports of the incident and quickly identified the suspect’s vehicle. They signaled Kaczor to stop and he kept on driving, almost hitting an officer before he was eventually apprehended on Railroad Avenue. He is now facing charges of evading the scene of an accident, driving without insurance, failure to obey the signal of an officer, failure to grant the right-of-way, and reckless driving.
Instances of hit-and-run only aggravate cases against motorists already facing other charges. In this case, the injured party will have various options she can explore with the help of expert legal counsel.
