Plainfield – Head-On Collision
Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash in Plainfield yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Putnam Road at around 3:17 p.m. According to authorities, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 18-year-old Jayda Walsh was traveling north on that road when the vehicle suddenly swerved onto the southbound lane, crashing into a 2019 Mitsubishi driven by a still-unidentified 19-year-old motorist. Both drivers sustained serious injuries in the crash and were transported to William H. Backus Hospital for treatment. Officials are currently investigating the crash and will provide more information as necessary.
