Pedestrian Hit by Police Motorcycle
Thursday, September 26 in Middletown, a city police motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on Saybrook Road, sending both the pedestrian and the officer to the hospital for their injuries.
Mayor Daniel Drew made a statement, confirming that both involved are expected to recover after a short stay for their immediate injuries, though no more details were available at the time of the report.
A motorcycle accident is a traumatic event, and for the pedestrian involved in this case the results of the crash could have been much worse. The potential for property damage and severe bodily harm is high for both the driver of the motorcycle and the pedestrian, though until the crash is investigated further it is impossible to judge which party caused the wreck.
