Old Saybrook – Accident With Entrapment

A vehicle rolled over on the highway in Old Saybrook last Thursday evening.

Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash and discovered one vehicle that had rolled over on Route 9, in the area of Exit 2. One person was trapped inside the vehicle following the accident and had to be extricated by firefighters. The victim was then transported to the hospital for treatment. The identity and status of the injured motorist have yet to be disclosed by officials pending an investigation into the cause of the crash. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to contact them as soon as possible.

In many instances, officials withhold the identities of crash victims because they need to contact next of kin or a subsequent investigation requires it. In either scenario, authorities will eventually release as much information as necessary. What’s important to take note of are the options that motorists can be entitled to if these incidents are found to be caused by DUI, reckless behavior or negligence. In these cases, talking to legal experts can help victims weigh these options.
