Old Lyme – Senior Fatally Injured In Accident
A 79-year-old motorist died in an accident in Old Lyme last Saturday morning.
At around 7:00 a.m., John Leonard was driving on Town Woods Road when his vehicle swerved and hit a guard rail and several trees before falling down an embankment near Burr Road. Leonard sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities report that no other vehicle was involved in the incident. The crash is currently under investigation. Officials will release updates as they become available.
