Old Lyme – Highway Accident
A highway crash was reported in Old Lyme yesterday evening.
At 7:18 p.m., state and local officials received reports of a crash on I-95 North, about a mile and a half past Exit 70 (Route 156). An unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area, resulting in injuries. No word yet on entrapment, hit-and-run, or DUI. Multiple fire and EMS teams have arrived on-site to help all affected motorists. The crash scene was cleared less than an hour later, and authorities are now investigating its cause. No one has been identified yet, and more info will be released when appropriate.
Rush-hour driving, compounded by adverse weather conditions occurring across the state, is currently quite risky. Everyone is advised to be more careful when driving, particularly at night and on crash-prone thoroughfares such as I-95 and I-91. These things said, we should all be aware of what we can do if ever we are injured in road accidents. It’s in these situations where the advice of legal experts can be extremely useful.
