Norwich – Truck Crash Victim Identified
Local authorities just released the identity of last Monday’s crash fatality in Norwich.
78-year-old Robert Potter was driving his pickup truck on West Town Street when he reportedly experienced a serious medical condition. His vehicle swerved off the roadway, hitting several vehicles, including a school bus, before coming to a stop in a Global Gas Station parking lot. The victim had to be extricated from the truck by responding firefighters before he was taken to the hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead. The driver was the only person injured in the incident. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
Despite the presence of an obvious cause, authorities handling this case will still look at all possibilities before making any conclusion. This is noteworthy because if investigators discover negligence in this and other similar cases, victims or their families may have the option of filing for damages with the help of expert legal counsel.
