Norwalk – Pedestrian Killed By Vehicle
A man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle on the highway in Norwalk last Friday afternoon.
The accident was reported to state and local authorities at around 3:00 p.m. According to officials, 41-year-old Steven Gaffney of New Jersey got out of his vehicle that was parked on the shoulder on Route 7 North, near Exit 2. He reportedly ran towards the path of an oncoming vehicle being driven by a 61-year-old man from Norwalk. Gaffney was critically injured in the collision and was immediately transported to Norwalk Hospital where he died due to the severity of his injuries. The incident is currently under investigation.
