Norwalk – Interstate Accident
An interstate crash was reported in Norwalk early yesterday evening.
The incident occurred on US-7 North. At 6:21 p.m., an unspecified number of vehicles crashed about a fifth of a mile before Exit 1 (Belden Avenue), resulting in moderate damage and injuries. No word yet on DUI, entrapment, or hit-and-run, but firefighters and paramedics were both dispatched on-site. The scene was cleared less than half an hour later. Officials have not identified the cause yet and are still collecting evidence. Witnesses are encouraged to contact authorities as soon as possible.
Many road accidents don’t exhibit signs of negligence, DUI, or ill-intent. In practically all cases, investigators have to study incident sites thoroughly before liability can be established. Having said that, and once suspects/culprits have been identified, injured parties are advised to seek expert counsel so that their legal avenues can be explored and pursued if needed.
