Norwalk – Highway Vehicle Accident

Officials were alerted to a highway crash in Norwalk yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 4:29 p.m., reports came in of an accident on the northbound lanes of I-95 crossing Norwalk. Emergency crews responded to an area less than a mile before Exit 14 (Fairfield Avenue) and discovered an accident involving a still-unspecified number of vehicles. Injuries were reported and officials requested EMS support to assist those affected by the crash. A portion of the highway was blocked off following the incident, though all lanes were cleared less than half an hour later. Authorities have yet to identify anyone in the accident pending an investigation. Updates will be posted once they become available.
