North Haven – Arrest Made In DUI Case
A hit-and-run driver, also suspected of DUI, was arrested in North Haven yesterday.
Authorities responded to 50 State Street last December following reports of a crash that injured several motorists. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the area following the incident. A formal search followed, and police were able to apprehend 44-year-old Salvatore Vanacore soon after. He was reportedly under the influence at the time of the crash. After a thorough investigation, multiple charges were filed against Vanacore and he was arrested yesterday. He is currently held on a bond and is scheduled to appear in court soon.
