Newtown – Three-Vehicle Accident Causes Injuries
There was an accident on I-84 involving several vehicles last Saturday.
At around 2:01 p.m., three vehicles on the westbound side of I-84 crossing Newtown were involved in a crash. According to officials, a 2016 Honda CRV, driven by 82-year-old Thomas Como, crashed into the back of a 2006 Lincoln LS driven by 36-year-old Ryan Kowalczyk. The impact then pushed the Lincoln into the back of a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 25-year-old Derek Wheeler. Kowalczyk and Como reportedly sustained injuries. Authorities said Como was overspeeding and received an infraction.
In some cases, multiple-vehicle incidents are caused by only one culprit, an SUV in this case. Regardless of the causes of these types of incidents, if negligence, DUI or reckless driving can be established, aggrieved parties can file for damage/compensation claims with the help of legal experts.
