Newtown – Motorist Arrested Following Intersection Crash
A driver was arrested following an accident in Newtown yesterday.
37-year-old Joseph Mentes was driving his vehicle when he failed to heed to a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Berkshire and Toddy Hill Roads. Responders suspected intoxication and administered field sobriety tests on Mentes. He failed all of them and was immediately placed under arrest. Everyone involved in the incident was promptly tended to by emergency responders. Mentes is currently facing several charges related to the incident.
