New Milford – Crash Causes Death And Injuries
A collision between a car and dump truck causes serious injuries in New Milford yesterday morning.
At around 9:00 a.m., two vehicles were involved in a crash at the intersection of Cedar Hill Road and Kent Road (Route 7). A car, driven by 24-year-old Cristina Walters collided with a dump truck being driven by 59-year-old Jeff Griener. The crash forced the truck down an embankment and into the Housatonic River. Griener was seriously injured and was brought to the hospital but was stable. Walters died in the crash. Authorities said this particular intersection is prone to accidents, and town officials have started studying ways to improve safety in the area.
