A man was shot several times in New Haven early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 12:52 a.m., authorities received reports of gunfire and dispatched officers to the intersection of Central Avenue and Chapel Street. Responders did not find anyone in the area but received reports of a man who drove himself to Yale-New Haven Hospital a short time later. According to officials, a 24-year-old man from West Haven sustained multiple gunshot wounds after a still-unidentified person attacked him.
