New Haven – Accident Involving ATV
A motorist was seriously injured in an intersection crash in New Haven last Thursday.
Authorities dispatched emergency crews to the intersection of Legion Avenue and Ella T Grasso Boulevard (Route 10) at around 5:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash. According to responders, a male motorist operating a quad ATV collided with another vehicle. The rider sustained serious injuries and was found lying on the road. The victim was quickly attended to by EMS personnel. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and has cooperated with officials. The crash is still under investigation. Authorities have yet to identify the victim and will do so, as well as release other pertinent information, when appropriate.
Collisions frequently occur between small vehicles (ATVs and motorcycles) and other vehicles, and these tend to result in serious injuries and heavy damage. Identifying the causes of these unfortunate events is, obviously, an important goal for accident investigators. That said, motorists injured in these scenarios will have various options at their disposal if authorities discover DUI, reckless behavior or negligence. Victims can discuss these options with legal experts so that their best course of action can be determined.
