New Canaan – Vehicle Crash Update
Authorities just released more info regarding last Thursday’s vehicle fire in New Canaan.
A motorist sustained serious burn injuries after his/her vehicle swerved off Rosebrook Road and fell down an embankment, catching fire immediately after. The victim was able to exit the vehicle but was severely burned in the incident. Fortunately, two police officers were nearby and risked their own safety to help the injured motorist. New Canaan Police have now identified the rescuers as Officer Tom Patten and Sgt. Peter Condos. Without hesitation, they went down the embankment and assisted the motorist who was still in flames when they arrived. The case is still under active investigation.
