New Canaan – Intersection Crash Culprit Charged

The suspect of a recent intersection crash in New Canaan was charged by authorities last Monday.

Berlin Lee Charles was just arrested by local officials in connection to a May 25 incident where he instigated a crash at the intersection of Country Club Road and Route 123 (Smith Ridge Road). According to authorities, Charles failed to obey a stop sign which led to the collision of four vehicles. Several injuries were reported in the incident, and investigators determined that Charles was under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred.
