Milford – Rush-Hour Highway Accident
A rush-hour crash occurred on the highway in Milford yesterday.
At around 5:35 p.m., state and local authorities were alerted to a crash on the southbound lanes of I-95. Emergency crews were dispatched to an area about a fifth of a mile before Exit 39B (Boston Post Road/Route 1) and discovered a still-unspecified number of vehicles involved in a crash that resulted in injuries. The crash site was quickly cordoned off while medical teams assisted motorists involved in the incident. All lanes were eventually cleared about half an hour later. No identities have been disclosed yet as the incident is still under investigation. This post will be updated as soon as officials release more information.
As should always be the case, accident sites are blocked off to allow authorities to do their work and assist people safely. An important part of this process is allowing crash investigators to collect evidence so that liability can be accurately established. This is important to everyone: allowing officials to bring suspects to justice and giving victims the option of filing for damages if deemed a suitable course of action by legal experts.
