Milford – Motorist Rescued From Burning Car

A motorist was seriously hurt in an accident in Milford last Saturday evening.

Authorities received reports of a car crash on West River Street, near Wolf Harbor Road, and discovered a car that reportedly swerved off the pavement, hitting a tree before bursting into flames. The driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash and was able to slowly leave the burning car. Witnesses at the scene, Jake Tymon and Mark Bernier, took action and pulled the victim away from the vehicle. The victim was subsequently brought to a local hospital for treatment, while fire crews were able to extinguish the fire. The identity of the victim has yet to be disclosed pending an investigation. Updates will be provided when appropriate.

Single-vehicle accidents with no immediately apparent causes have to be investigated for possible product/vehicle defects. Of course, investigators will always study all possibilities in any case. It’s important to note that if any form of negligence is discovered, aggrieved parties may have the option of filing for damages with guidance from their legal counsel.
