Milford – Man Charged After Hitting Police Officer
A man from Shelton was arrested in Milford yesterday and charged with assault.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. last Sunday, Milford Police received reports of a person with erratic behavior at the intersection of Anderson Avenue and Ashwood Road. 31-year-old Colin Webster was driving along Ashwood Road, reportedly swearing at residents and exhibiting unusual driving behavior. Respondents were trying to apprehend Webster when he struck an officer and tried spitting on other officials. Eventually, authorities were able to take him into custody. He is now facing charges of assault, attempted assault, interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace.
