Milford – Intersection Crash Update

Authorities just released an update regarding last Sunday’s intersection crash in Milford.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., a car carrying two senior motorists was traveling near the intersection of Cherry and Gulf Streets when it suddenly swerved off the proper lane, hitting an SUV with two occupants. The car then crashed into an establishment and rolled over, while the SUV was forced off the roadway. The two occupants of the overturned car had to be extricated by emergency responders, and all four motorists sustained injuries in the incident. After an initial investigation, officials have now reported that the driver of the car experienced a medical episode that might have resulted in the accident. The case is still under active investigation. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.

Various medical conditions can cause motorists to lose control of their vehicles and typically require the intervention of paramedics and other emergency personnel. Helping these motorists is, obviously, an important objective for accident responders. It can be challenging to assign liability in these scenarios. Nevertheless, motorists who are injured in similar situations will always have the opportunity to consult legal experts to determine what their options can be considering the complicated circumstances.
