Middletown – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash
A motorcycle rider and his passenger were injured in an accident in Middletown last Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., 27-year-old Christopher Didone of Fort Myers and his 26-year-old passenger were traveling south on Newfield Street (Route 3) when they collided with a 2009 Toyota Sienna traveling north on the same road. The crash took place at the intersection of Newfield and Westfield Streets and left Didone and his passenger injured. The 77-year-old driver of the minivan was not hurt. Emergency crews immediately brought the two riders to Hartford Hospital for treatment. The female rider has since been released, while Didone remains in serious but stable condition. The accident is still under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them as soon as possible.
Identifying causes/culprits in motorcycle accidents is imperative as these incidents almost always result in injuries. Processing these cases quickly will help victims study their legal options, including filing for damages in cases where negligence is established.
