Middletown – Hit-And-Run Accident Injures Bicyclist
A 14-year-old bicyclist was injured in an accident in Middletown last Friday evening.
At around 6:15 p.m., the victim was riding south on Elm Street when he collided with a vehicle that was traveling north on East Main Street. The intersection crash resulted in serious injuries to the bike rider and he was brought by emergency crews to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for treatment. He is currently in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle that hit him fled the accident scene. Witnesses have described the vehicle as a red Chevy Silverado pickup truck carrying a male driver and female passenger at the time of the crash. Officials are asking anyone who may know the whereabouts of the suspects to contact them as soon as possible.
