Killingly – Fatal Car Crash

Two vehicles collided in Killingly last Friday.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., 43-year-old Jeffrey Ward of Danielson was driving west on Providence Pike when his vehicle swerved onto the opposite lane, crashing into another vehicle with one occupant. Ward’s vehicle rolled over several times before coming to a stop, and he sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Ward’s passenger, a still-unidentified 18-year-old victim, was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle immediately stopped and has cooperated with authorities. The case is still under investigation. We will update this post when new info is released by officials.

It can be challenging to assign liability when causes are not immediately discernible. That said, investigators are expected to scour these crash sites until culprits have been identified. This is noteworthy because the discovery of negligence may allow victims or their families to explore legal claims against liable parties. Experts can help us understand what these avenues are and how to best pursue them.
