Hartford – Utility Worker Injured In Accident
A utility worker was hospitalized following an accident in Hartford Wednesday morning.
Emergency teams converged at the intersection of Williard and Townley Streets after reports of an accident in the area were received by authorities. An employee of Charter Oak Construction was performing upgrade work on behalf of Eversource when he fell more than 10 feet into an underground vault. He was quickly rescued by firefighters and transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment. The incident is currently under investigation. Officials have yet to disclose more details and are expected to do so when appropriate.
