Hartford – Moped Crash Victim Identified
Local police just released the identity of the scooter crash victim in Hartford last Monday.
At just before 11:00 p.m., 42-year-old Wilson Matos was riding his scooter east on New Britain Avenue when he collided with a pickup truck making a turn from New Britain onto Julius Street. Matos sustained serious injuries in the crash and was immediately transported by emergency crews to the hospital where he later died. According to authorities, the pickup driver stayed at the accident scene and has cooperated with the investigation. Officials will release additional information about the incident when they become available.
