Greenwich – Multi-Vehicle Interstate Accident

Authorities responded to an interstate crash in Greenwich Wednesday morning.

Heavy delays were reported on I-95 North following a crash that occurred between Exits 2 and 3. At around 7:40 a.m., three vehicles collided in the area, resulting in significant disruptions to traffic flow around the crash. One vehicle caught fire but was immediately extinguished by responding firefighters. One motorist sustained injuries in the incident, and he/she has since been tended to by medical personnel. No word yet on entrapment, DUI, or other collateral effects. The incident is currently under investigation, and updates will be provided as new info becomes available.
