Greenwich – Highway Crash
Authorities were alerted to a highway crash in Greenwich yesterday morning.
At approximately 8:34 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the southbound lanes of I-95 to assist motorists injured in a vehicle accident. According to officials, a still unspecified number of vehicles was involved in a crash that occurred about half a mile past Exit 3 (Arch Street). Medical personnel have since tended to people affected by the incident. Road crews were forced to close a section of the highway to facilitate an investigation of the crash. All lanes were cleared around 45 minutes later. Authorities have yet to identify motorists involved in the accident and will do so when appropriate.
Highway accidents, particularly those involving multiple vehicles, typically result in injuries. Authorities will always work hard to identify the causes of these incidents as this will help them improve highway safety. That said, parties injured in various accidents are entitled to legal avenues that can help them find closure, particularly when these accidents involve DUI, reckless behavior or negligence.
