Farmington – Highway Truck Accident
A truck crashed on the highway in Farmington yesterday afternoon.
State and local officials are currently investigating an incident that occurred about a tenth of a mile before Exit 39 (Route 508) on the westbound side of I-84. According to reports, a truck crashed in the area, resulting in injuries. No word yet on the number of vehicles and motorists involved in the accident — firefighters and paramedics were requested on-site. Road crews blocked off a portion of the interstate at approximately 2:32 p.m. and all lanes were cleared at around 3:44 p.m. Authorities have yet to identify anyone or provide additional info. As such, updates will be provided as they become available.
As expected, accidents involving trucks are more challenging to process and clear. This is worth mentioning because emergency crews across the state are always ready and well-equipped to deal with these contingencies. That said, identifying the causes of all road-related incidents will always be their priority, regardless of severity or type of vehicle involved. This will not only bring responsible parties to justice but also allow victims to pursue their own cases against culprits with the help of expert counsel. This is most appropriate in cases where DUI, reckless behavior or negligence have been established.
