Farmington – Highway Accident

State and local officials responded to a highway crash in Farmington yesterday evening.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., emergency crews arrived at Exit 39 on I-84 East to assist motorists injured in a vehicle crash. The incident blocked a section of the interstate and it took road crews almost an hour to clear the site of obstructions. Officials have yet to specify the number of vehicles and motorists involved in the incident, but multiple fire and EMS teams were requested on-site. The case is currently under active investigation. Authorities will release more info when appropriate.

While reports vary, many studies about nighttime driving have indicated that it’s more dangerous (by several multiples) to both pedestrians and motorists. Authorities constantly work on improving road safety for everyone, and apprehending negligent drivers is an integral part of this campaign. Having said that, people who are injured in incidents caused by reckless or negligent behavior should consult legal experts so that their cases can be evaluated thoroughly.
