Fairfield – Truck Accident On I-95
A flatbed truck was involved in an accident in Fairfield yesterday morning.
At approximately 10:14 a.m., the truck was running southbound on I-95 crossing Fairfield, between exits 19 and 20, when the accident occurred. Authorities quickly arrived at the scene to assist. The jackknifed truck covered two lanes of the highway, while its cabin was up against a road barrier. Injuries were reported by officials. The southbound side of I-95 remained congested for about an hour before finally clearing up. The identity of the truck driver and other details of the incident have yet to be disclosed by officials.
Single-vehicle accidents on highways, particularly those involving large vehicles, can be challenging to assess. Vehicle defects can be considered by authorities as possible causes if driver negligence or DUI can be eliminated as a possibility. That said, injuries caused by product/vehicle defects can entitle aggrieved parties to compensation with the help of expert legal counsel.
