Fairfield – Several Injuries In Multi-Vehicle Crash
Several motorists were injured in a highway accident in Fairfield early Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:34 a.m., a man was driving his car on the northbound lanes of I-95 crossing Fairfield when he ran out of fuel and was forced to stop on the right shoulder just past Exit 23 (Meadowbrook Road). He got out of his car and proceeded to refuel his vehicle. At this point, another vehicle hit the pedestrian and his vehicle. This initiated a crash that damaged four vehicles and injured several motorists. Fire and EMS crews quickly arrived at the scene to assist those involved. A total of three people were transported to the hospital for treatment. Officials have yet to identify those involved in the incident. They will do so when appropriate.
