Fairfield – Highway Accident

A highway crash resulted in delays in Fairfield yesterday.

At around 9:00 a.m., authorities were alerted to a crash on the northbound lanes of I-95. An accident reportedly occurred near Exit 22 (Round Hill Road), prompting officials to dispatch fire and EMS crews to the area. The crash blocked off two lanes of the interstate, though road crews were able to clear the scene shortly before noon. All motorists involved in the incident have since been tended to by medical personnel. The crash is currently under active investigation. Officials will release more info when appropriate.

While not always the case, the extent of road blockages can be an indicator of the severity of accidents. That said, authorities will always handle these incidents with dedication and diligence. Responsible parties should be taken off the road and brought to justice, simply because it can help improve road safety for everyone. Aggrieved parties, on the other hand, should be given opportunities to pursue legal avenues that can help them cope and find closure.
