Fairfield – Crash Fatality Identified
Authorities just identified the victim of last Saturday’s crash in Fairfield.
Early Saturday morning, a vehicle was traveling on Black Rock Turnpike when it suddenly swerved off the roadway, hitting a parked car before crashing into a tree. The driver (and lone occupant) of the vehicle sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead soon after. After contacting next of kin, officials have now identified the victim as 33-year-old Steven J. Conneely of Fairfield. No word yet on the possible involvement of other vehicles in the crash, and authorities are still collecting evidence that will help them establish probable cause.
It’s important to point out that authorities will always follow protocol when processing/investigating road incidents, only withholding important info when appropriate or necessary. That said, victims of these unfortunate events, or their families, are always advised to seek legal help so that their cases can be thoroughly evaluated.
