Enfield – Car Crash After Police Pursuit
Yesterday, a car crash on Route 190 injured three people.
Connecticut State Police reported yesterday that the accident was preceded by a police pursuit. The suspect’s vehicle, a silver Honda Accord, hit some Massachusettes State Police cruisers but avoided apprehension. A pursuit ensued but was halted after the suspect’s vehicle crossed the border. Connecticut State Police continued the pursuit but eventually ended it. Shortly after, the suspect’s car hit an Acura SUV on Route 190 crossing Enfield near Taylor Road. Enfield Police reported that the suspect was taken to Hartford Hospital. The driver and passenger of the SUV, a 29-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son, were also transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. A relative of the victim reportedly said that the woman sustained a leg injury. The suspect will be charged by authorities with evading the police.
Motorists injured by other drivers on the road can file for personal injury claims in Connecticut. Incidents where negligence or DUI can be proven, in particular, are strong candidates for claims by victims.
