East Lyme – Motorcycle Accident Sent Person To Hospital
A motorcycle accident in East Lyme last Saturday evening is currently being investigated by authorities.
A rider was brought to the hospital by emergency crews after a crash on Route 156 (Main Street), near the East Lyme-Waterford town line. The victim sustained serious injuries in the accident, was first brought to an area hospital, but was then transported by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital for further treatment. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them as soon as possible.
Investigating single-vehicle accidents, particularly those involving motorcycles, can be challenging because culprits/causes are not readily apparent. That said, product/vehicle defects, among other factors, have played a part in many motorcycle accidents in the past. If any form of negligence is discovered in these cases, injured motorists may be entitled to damages/compensation under appropriate situations.
