East Lyme – Fatal Injuries In Motorcycle Crash
A crash in East Lyme last Sunday resulted in one fatality.
Officials cordoned off Boston Post Road (Route 1), between North Bride Brook and Spring Rock Roads, to investigate a crash between a car and a motorcycle. 42-year-old Frank A. Barabas, Jr. of Montville was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a car driven by a 37-year-old East Lyme resident. Barabas sustained serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car was transported to Lawrence+ Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Authorities have since cleared Route 1, though the accident is still being investigated. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
