Derby – Senior Killed In Pedestrian Accident
A senior resident was killed in Derby last Monday morning.
A few minutes after 7:00 a.m., 85-year-old Angelina Borelli of Seymour Avenue was hit by a vehicle on Ninth Street. Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene and transported Borelli to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and has cooperated with police. Borelli was a member of a well-known political and business family in Derby. The case remains under investigation.
Pedestrian accidents like this have to be investigated thoroughly to determine if negligence or reckless behavior was involved. Suffice it to say, if any of these factors are established, victims or their families can talk to legal experts to determine the best way of finding closure after these unfortunate events.
