Emergency crews arrived at the scene at approximately 7:02 p.m. and immediately blocked off the area, allowing fire and EMS teams to assist all injured motorists. The crash was cleared less than half an hour later, and authorities are now investigating the incident. Additional details have yet to be released by officials. This story will be updated with new info as they become available.

In many instances, nighttime accidents occur in crash-prone areas and can be dangerous even to emergency responders. Processing and clearing these sites as quickly as possible is the primary consideration. Having said that, authorities will always work hard to identify the causes of these crashes, simply because preventing future incidents will depend on this. As a secondary benefit, this process will also allow crash victims to seek damages if their injuries were caused by reckless or negligent behavior.
