Danbury – Pedestrian Incident Case Update
Authorities just released an update regarding a negligent homicide case in Danbury.
19-year-old Jhon Jairo Penaherrera is currently charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle in connection to an October 21, 2018 incident where he hit a pedestrian on White Street. 43-year-old Jose P. Yupangui sustained critical injuries in the accident and died at Danbury Hospital. It took several months before a warrant was issued, and Penaherrera surrendered himself to authorities back on May 30. Originally scheduled for August 16, his pre-trial hearing was just continued to September 6.
