Danbury – Highway Hit-And-Run
A hit-and-run incident happened on the highway in Danbury last Thursday evening.
Authorities were alerted to the crash at approximately 9:40 p.m. and immediately dispatched fire and EMS crews to the eastbound lanes of I-84. 25-year-old Matthew Schwartz of Woodbridge was driving his 2019 Subaru Crosstrek and slowed down for traffic when another vehicle hit him from behind near Exit 8. Schwartz reportedly sustained injuries in the collision. Instead of stopping, the still unidentified vehicle fled the scene. Officials are still investigating the accident and looking for the hit-and-run suspect. Anyone who may have information about the crash can contact authorities.
Instances of hit-and-run, in almost all cases, would only aggravate cases against suspects/culprits involved in road accidents, particularly when reckless behavior or negligence is established. Parties affected by these events can consult legal experts to determine what their best course of action would be.
