Danbury – Driver Who Caused Injuries Arrested

A Danbury man who is suspected of causing injuries while driving his car was arrested yesterday.

On April 22, at approximately 4:40 p.m., 38-year-old Edgar Patricio Farfan-Lazso of Danbury was driving his car westbound on Franklin Street when he crashed into a utility pole, breaking the post and damaging the attached transformer. He and his passenger were injured in the crash and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Farfan-Lazso’s car was also severely damaged in the incident. Upon the arrival of authorities, he claimed vehicle malfunction. But witnesses have reported that he was overspeeding. He is now facing charges of driving with a suspended license, failure to drive right, driving without insurance and overspeeding.

There are many factors that cause these types of accident. That said, if negligence can be established, people who are injured because of these incidents are entitled, under appropriate circumstances, to file compensation/damage claims.
