Danbury – Bus Crashes, Overturns
A bus figured in an accident in Danbury last Monday morning.
Fire and EMS crews responded to West Redding Road after local authorities received reports of an overturned bus in the area. According to responders, a bus with no passengers swerved off the roadway and rolled onto its side. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was evaluated and treated on-site by EMS personnel. The area near the intersection of West Redding and East Starrs Plain Roads was closed following the incident. The area has since been cleared. Based on evidence already gathered by authorities, no other vehicle was involved in the accident. More information will be released when appropriate.
It is in these cases where accident investigators have to look at other, less obvious possibilities in establishing liability. If the driver is cleared of any negligence, then other angles, including product/vehicle defects, can be explored. That said, and whatever the outcome of these investigations, if authorities discover any form of negligence, aggrieved parties may have options that can be discussed with legal experts.
