Cromwell – Officer Injured In Stolen Vehicle Incident

Suspects in a stolen vehicle hit and injured a police officer in Cromwell yesterday morning.

At around 9:00 a.m., officials received reports of store theft at Walmart Supercenter. Officers dispatched to the scene discovered two juveniles inside an SUV that was later found to be stolen. They attempted to talk to and apprehend the suspects when the vehicle suddenly started moving backward, hitting one of the officers and throwing him on the pavement. The suspects successfully fled the area. The victim sustained significant injuries but is expected to fully recover. Authorities are currently looking for the suspects and are asking witnesses or anyone with relevant info to contact Cromwell Police as soon as possible.

It’s in these cases where reports from witnesses and people with useful info can be invaluable in apprehending suspects/culprits. It’s particularly important to stop people who exhibit negligent behavior from operating vehicles. That said, the legal ramifications of these incidents can be complicated, so aggrieved parties would be best served by having legal experts guide them and making appropriate suggestions.
