In most instances, road crews would immediately start cleanup operations following crashes to reduce possible delays and the risk of additional accidents/injuries. Specific protocols are always followed by responders, and investigating these incidents is an important step, allowing culprits to be identified and brought to justice. This step will also allow injured parties the opportunity to pursue legal avenues that can help them find closure. Under appropriate circumstances, legal experts would recommend seeking damages as a proper course of action.
